Shelley Brown has been hooked on the high of helping women get great style for nearly 30 years. After training with Vogue Color Consultants in 1983, she launched a fashion consulting service with a major department store. Shelley’s expertise expanded into the media, dressing on air personalities, delivering seminars and producing memorable fashion events for audiences as large as 5000. Earning a respected reputation for professionalism and excellence in her field, Shelley was invited to be part of the 1994 Commonwealth Games clothing committee.
Shelley augmented her professional experience with training by the London Image Institute. While creating and teaching curriculum at a local image consulting school, she became inspired to develop the Current Colours™ System.
This advanced method of colour analysis was about to be launched when Shelley asked, "Why stop at colour? Why can’t women have all their fashion information?" She went back to the drawing board and the following year The Style File™ was founded—style know-how in a pocket-sized file.
